It's a lower peninsula thing, JD got his install in and working to drown out the racket and clunking coming from the engine. I didn't think the airbag was an automatic fail though, ABS definitely, but for any other warning lights afaik it's at the tester's discretion (which isn't usually a good thing).

Calum who works in Streetracer also works in the MOT centre and he's workin thursday when mine is goin through. And he said it'll be fine goin through anyway if I was to book it even if he wasn't workin. I'll just get it turned off to be on the safe side then and get it fixed wen I have the money.
From the horses mouth then, that should be reassuring. I guess that if an older car (pre-airbags) can pass mot without any airbags it would be unfair to fail a more modern one for a fault with theirs?
